After the on-air of the last 12th episode of SSSS.GRIDMAN in Japan, a 30-second special PV featuring Gridman (CV: Hikaru Midorikawa) and Ultraman (Ryohei Kimura), the protagonist of the upcoming CGI adaptation of Eiichi Shimizu (story) and Tomohiro Shimoguchi (arts)’s ULTRAMAN manga, was also introduced to Japanese viewers.
ULTRAMAN is set to premiere on Netflix worldwide on April 1, 2019. It is co-directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed), the same team working on Ghost in The Shell SAC_2045, the latest installment from the anime series based on Masamune Shirow’s sci-fi action manga to be streamed on the service in 2020.
