In the latest July 2020 issue of Shogakukan’s Monthly CoroCoro Comic published today, it is announced that the release date of Pokémon the Movie: Coco in Japan is now set for this winter. The 23rd Pokémon anime film was initially scheduled to be released on July 10, 2020, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
This will be the first time in its 22-year history since 1998 to release a Pokémon anime film in winter. All of the previous 22 films were released in Japan in July.
Also, special edition advance tickets will be available on August 7 at the price of 1,400 yen (general ticket) and 800 yen (junior ticket). They will come with a serial code to get the phantom pokémon “Celebi of a Different Color” and the newly-discovered pokémon “Zarude” in the Pokémon Sword and Shield game.
