Finally some news that Strike the Blood fans can sink their teeth into: the anime adaptation based on the series of ecchi action light novels written by Gakuto Mikumo and illustrated by Manyako is continuing with the series of an original story entitled Strike the Blood: Kieta Seisou Hen (“Disappearing Holy Lance Story”) as well as a fourth OAV series entitled Strike the Blood IV.
Both Strike the Blood: Kieta Seisou Hen and Strike the Blood IV are directed by Hideyo Yamamoto and feature animation production by Connect. Strike the Blood: Kieta Seisou Hen will be released in Japan on January 29, 2020, while Strike the Blood IV is a six episode series that will be published in 2020 – 2021 beginning with the release of the first episode on March 25, 2020 and concluding with the release of the sixth episode on June 30, 2021. The original Strike the Blood light novels are published in Japan by ASCII Media Works (a division of Kadokawa) under their Dengeki Bunko imprint, and an English language version of the series is also published by Yen Press. Crunchyroll currently streams the 2013 – 2014 Strike the Blood TV series, which is directed by Takao Sano and Hideyo Yamamoto and features animation production by Silver Link and Connet.
